The Central Committee of the United Workers Party of Grazeland is pleased to hear this much needed correction from the Federal Grump authority. We hope that those who carelessly spread disinformation in the so-called "Grumpington Times" are admonished swiftly. The People's Democratic Republic of Grazeland and the people's of Grumpistan shall as always continue to work together in building the future guided by the international ideal.
His first demand is for "The reabsorption of the Southern Territories into Grumpistan proper", trampling our rights. We have declared our independence and Sanchez MUST acknowledge it!
Second, he wants our benevolent saviors, Grazeland to "withdraw all forces in a timely manner and embargo all arms sales to the Southern Territories". It is our right, as a free nation to trade with whomever we please! It is not Sanchez's place to dictate to us.
Third, he so generouslyoffers us "an autonomous territorial government elected by the people of the Southern Territories". This is something we have already achieved for ourselves!
Sanchez has overstepped for the last time. We will no longer tolerate his dictatorial ambitions. Southern Grumpistan is now and shall remain free and independent. And we will fight to defend our freedoms!

Gunfire could be heard from outside the Palace, as residents slept in their beds. In a statement to the hastily assembled press, General José María Rodríguez y de la Huerta, said "The traitor, Sanchez has been apprehended by The Special Forces for crimes against our Great Nation. He has weakened us at home and abroad. Firstly, his dictatorial tendencies led to the people's of the South to declare independence from our Nation, having given them no other option. Second, he refused to act to reunite us with the South, and instead denounced them as traitors and criminals, leading to a permanent rift among our people. Brother against brother, Grump against Grump. Thirdly, after the tragic collapse of the South's government, he did not act to maintain order, a duty which fell to Grazeland.
"Sanchez has not acted as a servant of the people nor as a true comrade to the workers of the world. For these reasons he shall face a military tribunal. As matters currently stand, I shall take control of Government for the time being, and elections will be called in the near future. Thank you for your time, Good Night."
Sanchez is currently being held in an undisclosed location, and it is not clear when his trial will take place, or when elections will be scheduled, or who will be a candidate in those elections.
Grazeland and Southern grumpistan
While representatives of Grazeland are shocked at these turns of events, we hope that the dismissal of this social fascist who stood in opposition towards the international ideal, will bring forth a new era of friendship between the people's revolution between Grazeland and Grumpistan for the next one hundred years! We salute you, Grumpi workers and peasants, for taking great initiative towards bringing order and unity of your great land! Let it be known, peace can now be achieved! Glory to the struggle! The People of Grumpistan stand together with Grazeland and all the workers of the world in Unity and Peace. Sanchez and his corrupt oligarchs have been removed and the People will once again reign supreme in Grumpistan.
We would also like to take this time to formally recognize the independence of Southern Grumpistan. Though it saddens us that they felt it necessary to forge a separate path, it is not our place to deny the right of self-determination, a socialist ideal for all people.
