I’ll start this off with a thank you to the current, past, and future government of OJ. You are the only reason we are where we are, and you will be the reason we get where we do. I admit I haven't always been the best or most consistent governor (founder before governors existed), and that’s really my fault. I rely on you often, and I realize I don’t give you enough credit. So thank you.
Specifically to Kandfaroi: you were the first ever Jucian, and you've stayed with me even when I haven’t stayed with you. You are the only reason the region still exists now, and even if we’ve only ever talked every once and a while on a computer game, I’d consider you a friend. I would be happy even if you remained governor.
The government serves it’s citizens, not the other way around. Our government does not posses the powers necessary to efficiently do this. We have a, frankly, crappy set of laws, we have no consistent election cycle set up, and we haven’t spent any time on organizing the roles that the government is split into. These things are mostly my fault, I’ll admit. But we are still thriving as a community. Why is this? It’s because we see ourselves not as a government and its citizens, but instead as a group of friends. Despite not being organized, we continue to chat and have fun together. But we have encountered issues.
We have had conflict and confusion over RP, elections, and embassies. We have encountered issues on every front, in every area the government oversees. Which is obviously a mistake on the government’s end. And we’ve established that the person most to blame for the majority of our issues is myself. I founded this region, and until I ceased to exist, I served as the governor. But I didn’t do my job. I didn’t work as the leader of our government, and I didn’t help with communication and efficiency. Which is why I don’t think I need to be governor.
I suggest we convene as a region, a community, without hierarchy, and discuss what we should do with the role. Everybody will have a say, and none more than others. We could elect someone, or write a new law on the role. We could have this open forum over the next few days on the RMB. We can call this the First Agora, a meeting of this region as equals for the greater good. While it’s happening, we could introduce other topics, such as those being debated by our potential delegates.
I do want to be governor. I want another shot. But I don’t need it, and Jucians come first. If this First Agora is opened, I will first and foremost campaign for the will of the people. I want an election for the role of governor. I want the people of OrangeJuice to choose who leads them. OJOM
Sincerely,
A fellow jucian
Thank you
