# Why does the President still have a petrol car? :blue_car::fuelpump:
*The Eco-Politic*

Speke's President has been seen driving 3 cars, excluding the Presidential vehicle. 2 of them are electric, but one is still petrol vehicle. The vehicle in question is a brand new 2024 Zephyr ZX, with a 1.6L turbocharged engine, burning an average of 50mpg.

Most weekends, the President goes out in his Zephyr ZX instead of one of his electric model cars, such as the BliatE, but isn't this all a bit hypocritical considering all of the legislation the President has been bringing in to stop and reduce emissions? Sometime this year, a tax of up to 50% on high-emission vehicles is due to be introduced, however originally this tax was meant to apply to all fossil fuel cars, but has been changed to only apply to high emission vehicles due to a slower than expected adoption of EVs, hybrids, and hydrogen vehicles. Only around 30% of gas stations around the nation have at least one EV fast-charging station, and infrastructure still needs to be improved.

"Personally, I believe that the President should act as a role model and switch to full electric to encourage more people to do the same, but it's a free country and he can drive what he wants until the new legislation is brought in I guess." - A standbyer in the capital, who wishes to remain anonymous.
