He has the unofficial leadership of his party, and he has the bully pulpit. Of course, the 2016 Congress was pretty poor and the 2018 Congress was even worse. (And using the power of the purse is something the current House is derelict in now.) But he doesn't have to sign every funding bill, nor does he have to promote it as a great accomplishment after the fact.

Absolutely agree. The president can do a lot. Imagine someone with the tenacity and energy of Vivek Ramaswamay turned loose and given authority to administer Executive function on his behalf. Image finding another 10 or 20 Ron Pauls to shadow cabinet positions to dismantle all the waste, fraud, and abuse. He needs to address the nation every opportunity. He (like some of us expected of Reagan) cannot undo the Fabian Socialist Rational Administrative State foisted on us by Dewey, et. al., at the start of the Progressivist Era by himself although he can do a lot. It is still primarily a Congressional priority to recognize that we have a cancer growing on Constitutional governance and administration in order for it's funding to be rightly (and permanently) be excised -- and to appoint competent Liberty loving Constitutional judges each and every time. We have a long uphill battle from here but returning to Lawful governance of Liberty is winnable.
