To clarify, or possibly add more confusion: Romania and its inhabitants (and language) have names that look a lot like "Romani," but that's actually a coincidence.

There are, of course, Romani who are Romanian. There are also Romani who aren't Romanian, and Romanians who aren't Romani.

It's less confusing when you're talking out loud, I think, because "rro-MAH-nee" doesn't sound too much like "ro-MAY-nee-un," but in text they're spelled almost the same way.

tbh from a biological stand point alcati would have genetic structure so far from humans that cross breeding would basically not work (then again its valsora logic over actual logic so idk)

Fair point actually, you're right. Despite their similarities as a sapient humanoid, their biology despite being similar would still be wildly different, be it how they digest stuff, how they cool themselves down, how they develop their offsprings, to their immune system, crossbreeding them two could be considered a crime against sentience.

no one really thinks about the genetic f#ckery involved people just see the funny cat girl, honestly if you look at it by a nation's stand point the alcati are terrifying as they could kill off generations of your population and then butterfly into the collapse of your nation (although probably wouldn't happen its not impossible) so i understand nations like Greater Rostoria (before the move to yastreovakai) suppressing alcati species from a statistical stand point they are inhibitors for a nations growth (then again depends on if your nation is primarily human or primarily alcati) unlike the blobons which are 1000x better in every way.
