Boilanzandia wrote:fair enoughThe Finnish state is divided on the issue. Whilst some fear the Russian advance, and believe that they should give in to the Russian state, others believe that the Russians are weak enough to bait them into a Second Winter War. Eventually, these factions win out, and a second offer is sent to the Russians, simply offering for a demilitarized zone along for the border, and the possible ceding of some territory, however as the Finnish government states, they shall refuse to give up the majority of the Karelian and Kola regions.
With already high anti-colonial sentiments in Greece, the government happily obliges to sell their colony to their Ethiopians. Perhaps, they could even sell them their colonies in Yemen too, if the Ethiopians are willing.

The Winter War had been a humiliation for the Russians, but the times of warfare had changed. No longer was Russia going to send its troops, unsupported and inexperienced in terrain, to fight a war led by incompetent generals. Russian air power and tactics had evolved immensely during the ~48 years that Russian and Finland had been at peace. Now, Russian fighter jets and bombers could rain down total devastation on Finnish cities, obliterating industry, housing, and everything in between, the Russian Army could use fast-moving tank and motorised corps to tear apart enemy lines, and the Russians far outnumbered the Finns. (using Ukraine tactics basically) The Russian Federation had beaten even the almighty Greater German Reich and its puppet states, liberating Eastern Europe from the fascist oppressors. Many in the populace saw Finland as one of the last holdouts of the brown stain that had once spread its claws over the East, and some were even calling for a war of total annihilation - a complete extermination of all the Finns, and the resettlement of the land with Russian and other CSTO peoples. But the Duma knew better, and they would press for negotiations with the Finns, making demands of the return of Murmansk Governorate and Olonets Governorate along with the ceding of Petsamo region, enabling Finland to keep Karjala.

The Finnish would consider this offer for a bit, but would refuse, instead offering permanent Russian docking rights in Murmansk, as well as some territory in Olonets, but refusing to give the entirely, viewing it as their rightful territory

Russia would move 244,000 troops to the border, mobilising around 1,700 fighters and CAS along with 400 tactical bombers alongside the Russian Baltic Fleet of around 80 vessels. Another 500,000 troops would be moved to the German border in Lithuania and Belarus, along with 3,200 warplanes.

Russia would press its demands on Murmansk, offering to not demand the ceding of Olonets.

The Finns, now panicking, would require such territory be demilitarized, and the Finns being given a seat in government for the region.

Well Finland all they need is there hunting rifle, skies, and the Sisu and they will win any war

And military aid from Germany
