Dekks' Daily Wisdom #1:

It is sickening that some people have fewer rights than others simply because of their personal and immutable characteristics, discrimination must be stopped. Therefor I support a society where nobody has any rights, and everyone gets treated equally bad. Except for the french, they get it worse but they deserve it, those frog kissing baguette munchers.

I've actually done so, I have a separate nation called "Toxinoto", and I'm trying to make it a horrifying place to live.

Both my NS nation and RP nation are wonderful havens :D

It is also the 2nd smallest in population, just behind Loving County, Texas.

Taliand wrote:anybody else watching the Oscars tonight?

No. I normally wouldn’t anyways, but today I’m tired, had a sensory overload, and now have a massive headache. Oh, and I was away from home all day because not only did I have church and youth group, I also had some stupid meeting. And after seeing the worst movie in my entire life last night, which actually gave me nightmares because of how bad it was, I don’t feel like using the TV for a while.

So yeah, how’s your day going?

Members of Congress

As the DSA is a member of the interregional alliance of Interleft, we in the DSA hold elections for who exactly will represent us in the assembly. Now the time has come to start it again. Nominations have opened for positions within the Interleft General Assembly. This nomination period will last until March 18th. If you are interested, consider signing up to potentially represent the DSA among our allies.

Nomination Thread: https://thedsa.proboards.com/thread/980/interleft-general-assembly-nominations-march

If you are interested in either running for office or voting when the election happens but are not a member of the DSA Congress, then now is a great time to join. Congress membership grants you the ability to vote on legislation, run for office in the DSA, have access to confidential congress files, and more. To learn how, this handy dispatch was made to help you do it.

Do you have no idea what to do to join Congress? You are most certainly not the first. We now got you covered with this simple guide on how to do it.

Step (1): Read The Congress Section of Our Charter

Our region has its own Charter that regulates what is allowed in this region and what is not. Obviously, if you want to be a member of government, you should know what the rules are. Click the link below to find out what it means to be a Member of Congress. If you don't read that section and then tell us you did read it when you try and join Congress, you're not allowed to act like you didn't know what the rules were. That's on you, buddy.

Step (2): Join our Off-Site Forum

Our region has an off-site forum that we keep important government stuff on, from legislation to Charter Amendments to elections. To be a MoC, you need to have an account on it. This helps us guarantee that no one is cheating and trying to get two or more votes in congress. It's pretty easy. Just make an account and that's it. Click on the following link to get to our forum.

Step (3): Fill Out The Opt-In Form

The final step is to actually apply for congress. Just fill out the form at the following link and our Secretary General (the person in charge of letting people into Congress) will see if you're good as soon as they can.
