Personally, I found the artwork to be deeply philosophical, as if asking an ever present question that is often, and intentionally, left unanswered. The ever longing query that every man eventually stares into the abyss as he asks, waiting for time to finish his story and write the epilogue that he will never read.
Is it possible to ever know the answer to this question? As time passes, the solution gets more unclear. Details slip,memories fade. Names and places are forgotten. Until eventually, as you sit in a bed surrounded by the only people you've ever known and know no longer, as your final breath passes and you ask yourself one final question, the answer still unknown to you.
It all comes down to this.
