Region: Yggdrasil

Welcome back to life, Yggdrasil!

Now that we've all officially risen up from the dead (except the poor card traders, that is), I'd like to notify everyone in the region that we from Forest are organizing a chess contest with The Region That Has No Big Banks with currently 11 other regions participating, open to everyone! The Arena takes place at 9PM British Summer Time on Saturday, April 27th, so if you'd like to compete you should probably hurry!

General

The Region That Has No Big Banks and Forest is excited to present our first inter-regional blitz chess competition, seeking to bring together chess players across NationStates to participate!

Who can participate?

The event is open to all member regions participating, and open to all NS chess players (with the exception of any problematic members regions/nations, at the discretion of the organisers)

We currently have 13 regions participating and counting! Contact New United Common-lands if you are interested to join!

Date and time

The Arena will take place on Saturday 27th April starting at 9pm British Summer Time or 4pm Eastern Daylight Time, lasting 3 hours. Check LinkTRTHNBB discord for the time conversion!

Feel free to drop in for parts of the event you do not need to be avaliable the whole 3 hours

Format

The format for the Arena is 5 mins + 0s increment (5+0) and hosted via lichess.

Trophies avaliable
1. Best Scoring Individual Nation - The nation who wins the Lichess competition
2. Best Scoring Member Region - Determined by combining the scores of nations within each member region, to see the overall winner
3. Best Average Scoring Member Region - Determined by the total region scores divided by number of nations from that respective member region participating (To help ensure fair opportunity for smaller regions)
