The foundations of the Commune
The national government in Bordeaux didn’t stand a chance. Faced against the Commune on all sides, they soon quickly fell to the rising forces of the Commune. In the Battle of Bordeaux, it wasn't even close. The forces of the French Commune easily and swiftly destroyed the armies of the National government. What was next, however, was what came after. Factionalism within the commune existed, between the Democratic Socialists, the Blanquists, the Marxists, the Anarchists, and other factions, some that threatened to destroy the state completely. But for now, they worked together, and worked together they did, for now.
